The Hearing
On Monday, December 9, 1968, students who had felt that they were victims of police harassment gathered into a courtroom in January Hall to share their experiences. Administrators within the university explained that although these incidents had not been reported, the rules of the process for when a student submits a complaint were not being followed by the university themselves. As in the case of Walton after filing a complaint, the police had not added the complaint to the officer’s file or reproached the officer. As this hearing concluded without additional hearings, ABC continued their occupation.
